League of Legends Community Reacts to Costly Faker Bundle

Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok’s Hall of Legends collection in League of Legends has sparked controversy among fans due to its hefty price tag of $450. Riot Games recently announced Faker as the inaugural inductee into the LoL Hall of Legends, an event that annually honors the game’s top players. While some fans anticipated different choices, Riot selected Faker, widely regarded as the face of LoL.

The Hall of Legends event offers more than just a title for professional players; it allows players to celebrate by purchasing premium cosmetics. In Faker’s case, Riot introduced the Ahri collection, a set of skins expected to be popular among fans.

Faker Ahri Collection: Cost Breakdown

The Signature Immortalized Legend collection, featuring Faker’s Ahri skins, costs a staggering 59,260 RP, equivalent to approximately $434. This collection grants access to all packages within the Hall of Legends event. For those looking for a more affordable option, the Risen Legend collection, priced at 5,430 RP, includes a base skin and a taunt.

The Immortalized Legend collection, priced at 32,430 RP, offers a comprehensive set including Risen content, exclusive finishers, a custom announcer, Demon King skin transformation, and more. While many Faker fans are excited about the new Ahri skins, the high prices have led to widespread dissatisfaction in the LoL community. Players feel that the skins are too expensive, making them inaccessible to many.

It’s worth noting that 30% of the revenue generated from these skins will go directly to Faker. If you’re planning to purchase these exclusive items, be prepared for the event starting on June 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. PDT.
